Types of Appointments

 

Routine
Update 15 July 2020 – We will see patients face to face when this is deemed clinically necessary by the consulting clinician, but otherwise assessments with be made initially by telephone or video consultations.

Routine Appointments can be booked on the day or 1 week in advance from 8am and are usually 10 minutes long with a doctor or nurse of your choice. Double appointments can be booked for patients who have more than one problem. Find out how to book an appointment here…

Urgent
Urgent Appointments are booked on the day from 8am. They are for patients who have problems which, for medical reasons, cannot wait for a routine appointment. Patients are encouraged to call between 8 – 10am, although this service is still available after these times. Read more about urgent appointments…
Physical Appointments

eConsult is an online service which allows patients to submit their symptoms or requests to their GP electronically, whilst also offering around-the-clock NHS self-help information, signposting to services and symptom checking.

Out of hours
Patients with medical problems, who require attention outside of our opening hours, can obtain help from a variety of sources. The NHS 111 Service is a new free telephone service which helps choose the most appropriate of these and also provides useful advice on how to self-manage problems. Simply dial 111 to access this service.
